Kids Say the Darndest Things

There is an elementary school that sits above us on the mountain and man y of the students walk by the high school on their way home. I usually pass them on my way home and they are all so very cute with their boxy backpacks and cute uniforms they make these kids wear. I was walking behind three little girls as I waited for traffic to allow me to pass. They were having a very animated conversation and then the girl in the middle just shouts "Baka yaro!" at another girl. I couldn't help but start laughing which surprised the heck out of theses girls. They seemed a little embarrassed but I kept on laughing, said "Konnichiwa" and pass them by. I laughed because "baka yaro" can be translated as "f---ing idiot". Such a foul mouth on such a sweet little face!
